I hope you are all having a good semester so far! I wanted to take a moment to talk to you about the importance of respecting one another’s personal beliefs in our community space.

While it is perfectly fine to hold and express your personal beliefs, it is important to remember that our community is a safe place where we must all treat each other with respect and dignity. This means that we cannot enforce our personal beliefs onto others. We must allow our peers the same freedom to express their beliefs as we expect for ourselves. In a diverse environment such as Ontario Tech University, it is common to have people with different beliefs, values, and backgrounds. As such, it is important to maintain a positive and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable and respected.

I hope you all keep this in mind as we continue to play together. If you have any concerns or questions about this matter, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. Thanks! 🙂

Hey @Ontario Tech students!

I know a lot of you have been asking our executives what's the plan for intramurals this semester.  Well, I'm here to tell you that we have decided to make changes for the betterment of our program, the community, and our executives. 

Starting this semester we've decided to move away from holding semester-long intramurals such as our Valorant and Rocket League intramurals from Fall 2022 and transition to hosting monthly tournaments starting off with our Apex Legends tournament which takes place tomorrow! 

Through monthly tournaments, we hope to reach more of our communities by hosting tournaments for multiple different games instead of just running the same popular titles each semester. Additionally, this change will reduce your commitment time for our events as you can choose when you want to participate and will only have to participate approximately 1/4 - 1/2 days time per monthly tournament as opposed to committing to one tournament the entire semester.
